Respiratory insufficiency frequently occurs in patients after thoracoabdominal i
surgery, because of sudden inability of the pulmonary system and adult respiratory distress syndrome ( ARDS )
We experienced a case of ARDS which developed during general anesthesia in pariperitonitis due to perforated stomach, ; and reviewed etiology, clinical features, diagnosis and treatment in ARDS.
